If You Are Going To Let Your Dog Drive Your Car In Circles For An Hour, Make Sure It Has A License!
Thanks to WPTV, West Palm Beach FL:
You can’t teach an old dog new tricks – but in the case of one canine on
Florida’s Treasure Coast, you can teach them how to drive a car.

Officers were called to a neighborhood in Port St. Lucie on Thursday when
residents spotted a car spinning in reverse, going in circles. When they
looked inside, they saw a black labrador in the driver’s seat.
“I figured ‘how the heck did they manage to do that?'” neighbor Anna Sabol
told NBC affiliate WPTV-TV.
“The dog named MAX accidentally hit the shifter into reverse causing the car
to circle the cul-de-sac, leaving the owner locked out of the car,” Port St.
Lucie Police said in a statement posted to Facebook.
The owner, who told police he’d stepped out of his car after realizing he
had taken a wrong turn, gave officers an extra car fob to try to get the
door open, but its battery was dead.
Police were able to punch a code into the driver’s side door and stop the
vehicle – but not before the car took out a mailbox, a trash can and moved
some bricks.
Luckily, no one was hurt. The car sustained minor damage. Max, police said,
“was fine, healthy and happy!”
“I saw the dog jump out of the car, wagging his tail. I was like ‘Okay, good
driving,'” Sabol said.
