B. Michael Korte, of The Korte Law Firm, LLC, recently was a co-presenter, with Chris Archer, of Archer, Lassa and McHugh, at the Missouri Division of Workers’ Compensation’s 23rd Annual Missouri Workers’ Compensation Conference, held at the Tan-Tar-A resort at the scenic Lake of the Ozarks in Osage Beach, MO on June 5-6, 2017.
For the first time, Korte and Archer were designated as the conference’s keynote speakers. Their topic was “Taking the Temperature at the Division of Workers’ Compensation, Commission and Courts–2017 Case Law Review”.
“Chris and I always enjoy speaking at the conference,” said Korte. “It was a real honor to be asked to deliver our talk as the keynote address at this conference.”
Unlike previous years, Korte and Archer focused more on some cases that are not yet final, but pending before the Missouri Supreme Court, as well as a review of Senate Bill 66 (discussed more fully here).
Korte noted that the duo has presented a case law review for attendees for so many years that he has lost an exact count. “It is always flattering to be asked to speak to this group, since it includes judges, company representatives, doctors, lawyers, and just about anybody interested in and knowledgeable about Missouri workers’ compensation. I enjoy the interaction with those in the audience who often have a special insight into the cases we are discussing.”
